Declaration of Faith

We Believe

  • In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.

  • In one God eternally existing in three person; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

  • That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

  • That all have sinned and come short of the glory of god and that repentance is commanded of God for all an necessary of forgiveness of sins.

  • That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

  • In santification subsequent to the new birth through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word and by the Holy Ghost.

  • Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.

  • In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.

  • In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

  • In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

  • Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.

  • In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints' feet.

  • In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. first, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.

  • In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

  • Purpose:  SERF was born out of the need to bring African American churches together for fellowship, training and development; and to have a platform in government whereby we could strengthen small churches, letting them know we are behind them. To train our young ministers of color and encourage our African American women pastors. It is with that understanding that we:

  • The SERF Executive Committee and Board of Directors commit and dedicate ourselves to the purpose of SERF. To lead the Southeast Regional Fellowship on a journey to increase the awareness, resource the churches and increase the participation of all who make up the SERF fellowship.

  • Mission:  Our mission is to serve the members of the Southeast Region by providing, faithful support, wholesome fellowship, training resources, and ministry strategies that will help equip the church to reap a harvest for the Lord along with building strong confident pastors, ministers, church leaders and laity.

  • Focus:  2019 Focus is " Finish In The Spirit and Power of Pentecost”. Our supporting scripture is derived from Acts 2:1-11. we have chosen to “bring the pieces together” to fellowship, be trained, equipped, developed and inspired, and receive direction to help cultivate the preparedness  necessary to “Finish In The Spirit and Power of Pentecost”.

  • Vision:  Our vision is to empower; pastors, ministers, church leadership and laity who are equipped, trained and resourced to be effective in their ministry assignments.

  • Strategy:  Our strategy will allow opportunities for an inter-generational movement between youth and adults to be established focused on education equipping, teaching, training and empowerment that mandates a continuum of responsibility required and fostered throughout the Southeast Region Fellowship to develop and use those who will be prepared to "Finish In the Spirit and Power of Pentecost.
